With my son Tim running the bbq at Chelsea LAC. We, the children in between their events, and I ran it for many years. We have gone back since we finished to help out at Chelsea Gift Days and at Open Days. My daughter Cassie and me after an event had finished at Chelsea Little Athletics Club. I wonder what event we were off to next. It was an honour receiving the Andrew Holten Volunteer Award from Chelsea Little Athletics. Andrew was an amazing volunteer and to win an award named in his honour was lovely. With John Fitzgerald at the Australian Open. We haven’t been able to go for a few years but I always love watching the Legends games. Their skills are still very high and the fun they have on the court is fantastic. Always a joy to hear sports stars talk about their careers and this time it was Glenn Manton at a Bonbeach Football Netball Luncheon. With Kevin Bartlett at Cranbourne Racing Club. I loved meeting this man. What a champion. Stan Alves speaking at the Bonbeach YCW Sports Club Life Members and Sponsors Night. This man made me cry to hear of the loss of his son and how he, and his family, managed after that. Absolutely inspirational. Best Club Person Award Bonbeach YCW Junior Football Club. I still think this award should have gone to my son Tim who worked with me at every event and function. Being made to drink beer from the Premiership Cup at Chelsea YCW Junior Football Club. And I don’t even like beer!!! Chelsea YCW Life Member Badge New Life Members for Chelsea YCW Junior Football Club with Brad Kingsbury. We later changed our name to Bonbeach YCW Junior Football Club. New Life Members for Chelsea YCW Junior Football Club with Jodie Hayes. We, along with Brad, will forever be tied as winning our awards in the same year. I took my kids to my athletic track, at Fawkner Little Athletics, and was horrified to see the state it is in. We had a fantastic track with a 6 lane straight and a 6 lane circular track. it was very sad to see it not used for athletics any more and the track in such ruin. Enjoying the delights of a Corporate Box at the MCG with my friend, Ricki Nash. Women in Sport Luncheon hosted by AFLSE With my daughter Cassie watching our beloved Lions. We don’t get to see them live too often but we always book ourselves in for the games we can as soon as the fixture comes out. With Matthew Lloyd at the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League Div 1 Grand Final. I have always admired him as a footballer and it was great to meet him. With Dermott Brereton at a Frankston City Council Breakfast. He is a very proud Frankston boy and still plays sport in the area. Great to hear him talk about his time in football and in Frankston.
A little of my “sporting life” in pictures.
I’m a much better spectator and volunteer than an athlete!!!
